Bachledova Valley is a valley nestled between Spišská Magura, Belianske Tatras, and the Podtatranská Basin. It falls within the cadastral territory of the village of Ždiar and the town of Vysoké Tatry. With its beautiful, pristine nature and diverse activities, it offers visitors a plethora of unique experiences.

The valley is located in the area of Bachledka, a popular resort for both summer and winter recreation. During the winter months, visitors can enjoy skiing on well-groomed slopes suitable for skiers of various levels, from beginners to advanced.

Among the most popular routes is the ascent to Spišská Magura or a walk along the treetop walkway, representing a unique structure in our region, although several similar ones exist in Germany and the Czech Republic. It provides us with new sensations and experiences, making it a frequently visited place. The barrier-free walkway, with a wooden structure and three educational stations, measures 600 meters in length and, in selected sections, reaches up to 24 meters above the ground.

At its summit, there is an observation tower with a panoramic platform and an adrenaline net, where you can enjoy a fascinating view of the surroundings. During the walk on the walkway, you can read interesting facts about the local nature, turning the visit into an active educational experience. Additionally, a 67-meter dry toboggan is part of the attraction.

The view from the 32-meter tower will enchant you completely, offering a direct view of the peaks of the Belianske Tatras, an unmistakable panorama of the Pieniny, and the picturesque Zamagurie, as if everything were within arm’s reach.

Bachledova Valley and its surroundings offer not only natural beauty but also rich cultural and historical experiences. Nearby, for example, is Spiš Castle, one of the largest preserved medieval castles in Europe. It is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and provides a fascinating glimpse into the region’s history. Visitors can admire architectural treasures, a museum, and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

In addition to the natural beauty, you can savor local gastronomy in traditional shepherds’ huts and restaurants offering authentic Slovak dishes.

Bachledova Valley is a place where adventure meets the tranquility of nature, and where every visitor can find something for themselves – whether it’s the challenges of mountain trails, romantic walks, or simply relaxation in the embrace of the beautiful Tatras.
