If you do not have an idea for a trip, here is a list of Zoos that we have in Slovakia. For sure, the animals will make you enjoy your visit and experience the wilderness and will bring you closer to nature.
The oldest and the most visited Zoo in Slovakia is the zoo in Bojnice. (2,5 h from Bratislava). In the zoo of Bojnice you can find African elephants, orangutans or zebras. Next to the Zoo there is a spa in Bojnice. In this Zoo there are 414 types of animals.
The most interesting animals in the zoo of Bratislava are the lions, leopards or even jaguars. There you can find also zebras, giraffes, antelopes or hippos.
The next Zoo is in the eastern Slovakia in Košice- Kavečany. The most interesting animals in this zoo are the snakes, crocodiles, seals, penguins or bears.
The smallest and the youngest Zoo in Slovakia is in the eastern Slovakia in Spišská Nová Ves. Here you can find camels, monkeys and tigers too.
The last Zoopark in the furthest eastern point of Slovakia is in Stropkov (close to Ukraine and Poland) that can make happy mainly its little visitors due to its fairytale buffet and the possibility to feed the animals.
