Located in central Europe and sharing a border with five other countries – namely Hungary, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, and Ukraine – Slovakia is an interesting country to live and work in, while being handily placed for exploring neighboring states.  If you’re planning on moving to Slovakia, you’ll find a modern country with the infrastructure.

City life, castles and countryside

Often described as the most castellated country in Europe, Slovakia is relatively small and incredibly diverse. Living here, you’ll be able to enjoy the charms of the little capital, Bratislava, on the banks of the River Danube; hike on quiet trails through forests in the Tatra Mountains and elsewhere; and visit the numerous castles dotted about on craggy clifftops. Given its size, Slovakia is easy to explore, and there are good links to the other main cities of Kosice, Presov, and Zilina. If you’re into folk culture and traditions, and enjoy fine wines, you’ll find plenty of both in Slovakia.
